Frequently Asked Questions About Networking Marketing

Q: Can Anyone Be Successful in Network Marketing?

Answer: Well, …..almost anyone.

There are critical components you need to look at:

  • Ownership
  • Leadership
  • Compensation Plan
  • Product
  • Most importantly: System ….What system is in place with your prospective company that ensures the most success for the most people. Is it simple to duplicate? Or even better, viral in nature, giving it an inherent nature which people can’t help but share. This creates a better chance for more people to be successful in it.

From my experience, the most successful network marketers are self-motivated, go-getters; people who have a sphere of influence, OR who know how to leverage their market to get to influential people.

Q: Does It Matter Which Product I Represent?

ANSWER: Let me tell you this about the industry… most products in this industry are pretty good if the company is going to survive and remain competitive in this space. Companies know they have to have something relatively special.  But it takes more.

Many companies have a “Me too” product. Meaning: “Yeah, I’ve got that too, but this is how mine’s different.” It’s an exhausting game if you’re trying to distinguish what benefits or features about your product make it different from everybody else that might have a similar product.

It’s so much better to align yourself with a company that has something exclusive, unique or proprietary that no one else has. I’m not just talking about a formulation that’s a little bit different, but a company that is truly leading the marketplace with something that is different than anybody else. Now, that’s a great line up for a company!

The other thing you want to look in to is: Is there substantial science? I’ve heard a lot of anecdotal testimoninials for some products, but not a lot of science. In some of those cases, results can be more of a placebo effect.

If you can find a company that has both strong science AND lots of strong anecdotal testimonials…..YOU are GOLDEN!

Let me give you an insider’s secret: Having an amazing product in this industry is NOT enough. It is not enough! It’s not just about the product. It is the leadership, it’s the marketing, and it’s about a simple system and a great compensation plan.

But,….you know what? We’ll touch on that on another video. Be sure you’re logged in and getting the best information possible to give you the most success in this business!

Q: Is It Legit? or Is this a Pyramid?

ANSWER: Great question! Let me tell you, there are pyramids that exist. The distinction between a legitimate opportunity and a pyramid is the fact that: there must be a legitimate product or service that is being sold.

If you’re looking at an opportunity in which you invest some money, then that money is going to be paid to somebody else or if you need to bring in X number of people in order to get a check cut to you and there are no real legitimate products that people are buying….BEWARE. If there are services that don’t really have legitimacy to them…BEWARE. You might be getting sold an opportunity that is a pyramid scheme.

Now, a true opportunity in network marketing is absolutely legitimate. It is truly just a distribution method.

More and more companies are realizing the most powerful method for distribution is word of mouth. The company can pay for its product to be shipped AFTER the item has already been purchased. THIS is why so many companies are so attracted to the setup of network marketing. Instead of paying on the front end for marketing, companies using network marketing let the sales be made by its reps and pay commissions on the back end, AFTER the sales have already been made.

Let me introduce you to a couple of books and their authors (who happen to be well-respected business people) that were absolutely radical in introducing me to this industry as a legitimate opportunity.

Warren Buffet. He owns a couple of network marketing direct sales companies. He has said, “dollar for dollar,” best investment he ever made.

Robert G. Allen. Author of Multiple Streams of Income. He has a whole chapter on network marketing.

Brilliant Compensation. Brilliant Compensation video walks through what makes it a distinctive opportunity, industry and business model compared to others.

Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki. They wrote a book called Why We Want You To Be Rich. There’s an entire chapter in there on network marketing.

These are just a starting point on the recources out there speaking to the legitimacy of network marketing.

So, answering your question…..Is network marketing legitimate??……ABSOLUTELY! But there are schemes out there, and I just gave you some pointers on how to avoid them.

Q: Does it Really Matter What Company I Join?

ANSWER: A resounding, YES! Absolutely it matters!

It matters IF you care what kind of return you want to get on your time, energy and effort.

It matters IF you’re going to do this for more than just a hobby.

If you are really in this as a business to earn a substantial income, not all opportunities are created equal.

There are a couple of really KEY things you want to look at when looking at a potential company:

  1. Where are they in the time cycle of building their business? … Are they in infancy as a start-up company? There are some substantial reasons why people might want to get into a start-up company; tremendous upside potential. However, the downside is a lot of companies that are in the start-up mode never make it. They won’t be around in 5 years. You want to be able to distinguish those.

  1. Are they in momentum or are they already in a maturity state? If you find a company that is already in the maturity state, most of their growth is now happening in international markets. Guarantee it!

Can I Build A Business If I Don’t Have A Lot Of Time?

Q: Can I Build A Company If I Don’t Know A Lot Of People?

ANSWER: Well,…good news and bad news.

The bad news is…you do need to have some friends, know SOME people.

The good news is….it doesn’t take a lot of really good people to have something really substantial here.

If you don’t know a lot of people, get out there.! Get to job fairs, trade shows. You can market your business on the internet or through ads. People in this economy are looking for ways to build a residual income. Maybe they’re looking to build something along side of what they are already doing or to replace something they may have already lost. There are people out there! The key is building a list of names if you don’t have some already. That’s your number one asset in this industry.

Let me ask you this: If you don’t go out and market, find people and build your list, what else will you do to help accomplish your goals?

I think, going out and finding people who are looking for this is a great way to build a business and a win/win scenario!

Q: Can I Build Two Companies At One Time?

ANSWER: It depends on where you are in the life cycle of your own business.

You will find it very difficult to build two businesses which are at the ground level and trying to get them to a state of momentum. You are better off building a business and getting it to a place of maturity, it’s now on autopilot. You’ve build the infrastructure so it’s now on cruise control. Now you can focus on building another business effectively.

One key thing is to check with policies and procedures of your company and be sure they allow that. In my opinion, if a company says, “you can build this, but you can’t build anything else,” DO NOT sign up for this. You want to look for a business that you can own and gives you flexibility.

Think about it. If you have an infrastructure of people and you are cross-line recruiting, that’s dishonoring the company you are a part of. However, if you can build one business and then talk to a completely different market about another business, then yes.

Look for a company that allows you to do that. (Just a little hint.)

Q: Can I Build a Substantial Business Without Losing My Friends?

One of the questions I get most often is…

QUESTION: Can I build a substantial network marketing business without losing my friends?

ANSWER: ABSOLUTELY! ….but it depends on the way in which you build your business.

Often times, people in this kind of business will teach you to just go out and spew your new passion and excitement for the new business you are a part of.

You know what? There is a way to run off your friends this way. But the way that we teach at NetworkingSavvy.com is to build a business in a way that honors other people.

Literally, you can have people saying, “I don’t know what it is you are a part of, but I want to work with YOU. I want to be a part of whatever you are doing!”

I have built this industry now for 6 years and I have created some of the most amazing friendships. But my friends that did not join me in it, they are STILL my closest friends. This all comes from a heart of service and putting others first.

If you’d like more information on that, then go to networkingsavvy.com and check out our resources on how to build a successful business without running off your friends and without being “salesy.”

Look forward to seeing you there!
